It seems like “Groundhog Week,” so to speak. All three major US stock market indices posted losses again (i.e., DJIA: -2.14%, S&P 500: -2.41%, Nasdaq: -2.80%). Yes, this movie is getting old. Actually, if you are a historian, the Nasdaq suffered similar losses back in the “dot com” era when the Fed, coincidently, was raising interest rates. Those were crazy times. With the Fed fighting inflation, the key indicators to watch will be the potential deceleration of corporate sales and the number of stocks hitting 52-week lows.
